| Website recommended by one of our neighbours...details below. The agency that I work for has developed a web site that is focused on supporting an initiative that one of P&G’s brands is involved in. The brand is Dawn (Dish Liquid) and they have been involved in cleaning up the environment. Many environmental organizations use Dawn to help clean wildlife when there are oil spills. They use Dawn because it is very effective on petroleum-based contaminants, but it is also gentle enough on feathers and skin. The web site helps educate people on what they can do to help the cause. The web site also has a really fun feature that allows people to build a “virtual flock” – they first choose an environment, 1 of 4 to pick from. Then they choose an animal – a penguin, a pelican, a seal, or a duck. They can also customize the position that their animal is in – sitting, standing, walking, as well as flying or swimming in some cases. Once they have chosen these they can then name their flock and add a comment that will display once their animal has been added to the flock. We built this application to get people involved in the program and to have some fun, as well as get them to invite their friends. The registration is easy to do and there is also a fun contest that people can enter. I have started a flock and I’d like to invite people in our neighborhood to join my flock – they can do so by simply clicking on this link: http://www.homemadesimple.com/en_US/dawnsaveswildlife/joinFlockLanding.do?flockID=313179672270 As they are adding their animals to the flock, they can also post comments that others who are members of the flock can read. Once they join they can also invite others to join the flock or they can start their own.
